Ask anyone who knows me and they'll tell you that I'm not kidding when I say "It's truly all about me in my little world".

In my brain, everyone is organized through a mental database with me as its root. (I'll use Michelle as an example):

Laura'sEgo.com: /me/ people who aren't me/ who aren't related to me/ who impact my life favorably/ who I also like/ who I don't owe money to/ who are my boss/ Michelle

And this is MICHELLE! - source of my livelihood! friend of many years! and still look how far down we have to go before she gets any individual recognition!

But that's fine for me, because while I may never remember my loved one's birthdays, that's what makes me quirky and lovable. (Ok, well quirky anyway.) In Business, however, it’s not quite so endearing.

So in honor of Valentines Day – take these two quick and fun tests to make sure your marketing message isn't "all about me", and your website and literature speaks to your clients.

Precision does not vouch for the scientific accuracy of either test, but anything that gets you thinking about your customer message is a good thing. Go ahead and give them a shot.

(If you’re wondering why I didn’t get to the point sooner, see paragraph one. ; )

Test One:
Emotional Marketing Value Headline Analyzer
Do your headlines appeal to your customer’s emotional needs?

Test Two:
The "We We" Calculator
Is your promotional copy really focused on the needs of your customer? Or is all about you? ex. WE’ve been in business …. WE try harder… WE do this .. hence the “we we” reference.
Try the We We Calculator
